Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) is better known under her real moniker Ari Lennox is an American artist and songwriter hailing of Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist contracted to J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. The debut EP Pho, released in October 21st, 2016, was released via Dreamville Records. It was at this point that she began to get notoriety. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It came out in May of 2019. Ari Lennox started posting her music to the internet in 2012 when she released her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography In 2013. In 2014, she debuted new music through the internet including Bound. In July of 2015, she sung on Omen's album Elephant Eyes on the track Sweat it Out. J. Cole asked her to collaborate with him for Rihanna's reference. After that, in the course of the period, she released music that was circulating throughout Dreamville.
